In the game
The Bobsled Coaster can’t build steep slopes or loops, so its layouts are long runs of banked turns and helixes. Its trains are small, four sleds of two seats, and the type adds a little nausea of its own because the sleds swing in the trough.
Its type bonus is generous for a coaster with such gentle pieces, which makes it a strong mid-range ride. On the Frozen Resort map building a Bobsled Coaster is one of the bonus goals, and it looks at home on a snowy hillside.
In Park Baron the Bobsled Coaster can rise 53 m above the ground under its track. It can build , but not steep slopes, tight turns, loops and corkscrews and vertical drops and top hats. Its trains run 4 cars of 2 seats, 8 riders a train, and its station is 5 to 8 tiles long. Track costs $80 a piece and the station $1,100; it costs $750 a month to run, and guests pay $3.5 a ride by default. The type adds 0.45 excitement to whatever the track earns and 0.2 nausea, and its rolling friction is 0.012. Children are too short to ride it. It is free to build.
Its showpiece design, Glacier Express, climbs 28 m, reaches 78 km/h and pulls 4.1 g, with 0 inversions over 304 m of track and a 32-second ride. It rates 5.79 excitement, 5.63 intensity and 3.77 nausea, costs $8,524 and fills 20 × 34 tiles.

Building tips
- Chain banked turns and helixes together: they are what the bobsled is built for.
- Keep the lift modest and the descent long: the ride’s duration counts toward its excitement.
- Space the helixes out, because each one adds to the nausea rating.
The real thing
Real bobsled coasters copy the Olympic sport: cars without a fixed rail run in a trough and find their own line through each turn.
