In the game
Rolling sand dunes, a ring of palms and the only sweet water for a day’s ride. Turn the old caravan stop into the coolest place in the desert.
Desert sun: most summer days are heat waves, and guests get thirsty fast. Drinks, shade and water rides keep them going; the dunes need levelling or stairs.
For three hundred years the caravans stopped at Wadi Zahra, the only sweet water for a day’s ride in any direction. The camels are gone, but the palms still stand round the oasis and the tour buses still need somewhere to stop. Build a park on the sand: paths over the dunes, boats on the water, and plenty to drink. In high summer the sand reaches forty degrees, and a thirsty guest is a gone guest.
Desert Oasis is a map of rolling dunes, with flat sand between them and a palm-ringed lake in the north. The dunes have a gentle side and a steep side: level a way through or build stairs and walkways over them. The goal asks for a path out to the oasis and a big crowd with a good rating.
The climate is desert sun: heat waves on most summer days and almost no rain. Guests get thirsty fast in the heat, so the goal also asks for guests 80% happy at 3 pm on a heat-wave day with 400 or more in the park. Drinks, drinking fountains, shade and water rides are how you get there. The kit has Swan Boats for the oasis, Bumper Boats, the Splash Pad, Go-Karts, the Mine Train and the Jungle Adventure theme.

Bonus goals: Put 4 drinking fountains on your paths; Swan Boats on the oasis; 12 pieces of shade: parasols, covered walkways or queue canopies; Average review 4.0★ or better for 3 days.
Ready to build from the start: Merry-Go-Round, Spinning Teacups, Ferris Wheel, Bumper Cars, Burger Bar, Drinks Stall, Ice Cream Kiosk, Popcorn Stand, Balloon Stall, Toilets, Information Kiosk, Swan Boats, Bumper Boats, Splash Pad, Swing Ride, Go-Karts, Pirate Ship, Lemonade Stand, Smoothie Bar, Mine Train, Water Coaster, Junior Coaster and Jungle Adventure; everything else is researched.
The suggested theme is Jungle Adventure: a lost temple in the dunes: palms, ruins and explorers’ camps round the water. It starts researched.
Building tips
- Put drinks stalls and drinking fountains along every long path.
- Parasols and covered walkways keep the sun off: guests in the shade cope with the heat.
- Water rides are busiest on hot days: build them early, by the oasis.
- It almost never rains in the desert, so nothing waters the palms: hire a gardener before they wilt.
