In the game
A breezy fairground on rolling hills. The locals love a good view — and a good scare.
Hilly land: you’ll need to level ground for paths.
Hilltop Fair adds terrain. Paths need flat ground or an even slope, so you will level land, build ramps and use stairs to connect the rises. The starting kit adds the Swing Ride, the Pirate Ship, the Wooden Coaster and a hot dog stand to the basics.
The goal is quality over size: a high park rating and a strong review average held for three months. The hills help here: coasters that follow the land get their drops for free, and scenery along the track adds excitement.

The map
Hilltop Fair is a 64 × 64 tile map of rolling hills, played on the Standard setting. You start with $15,000 in cash and a loan of $15,000 at 7% interest, and the bank lends up to $35,000. Research starts with a budget of $300. It is free, part of the five-chapter campaign.
Goals
The goal: Park rating of 650 and a 3.5★ review average held for 9 days (three months), by the end of Year 2.
Bonus goals: Build a Drop Tower; Have 3 mechanics on staff; Win an award; Average review 4.0★ or better for 3 days.
Ready to build from the start: Merry-Go-Round, Spinning Teacups, Ferris Wheel, Bumper Cars, Burger Bar, Drinks Stall, Ice Cream Kiosk, Popcorn Stand, Balloon Stall, Toilets, Information Kiosk, Swing Ride, Pirate Ship, Coffee Cart, Hot Dog Stand, Junior Coaster and Wooden Coaster; everything else is researched.
Building tips
- Build the Wooden Coaster down a slope so the first drop uses the hill.
- Level a flat plaza for the gate area before you spread out.
- Hire mechanics early: one of the bonus goals asks for three on staff.
