The Duchess’s terraced gardens are opening to the public at last, and she has asked you to add a little fun, tastefully. Six terraces rise from the gate to the wooded hilltop, joined by old stone stairs. Flat land is scarce, so think in layers: a gentle ride on every level, flowers everywhere, and a view from the top.

Terrace Gardens is a puzzle of levels. Each terrace is a narrow shelf, the old stone stairs link them, and flat land is scarce, so rides have to be small and spread across the levels. The goal asks for working rides on four different terraces.

The kit suits the setting: gentle rides such as the Mini Train, Kiddie Swings and the Hot-Air Balloon Race, and the Enchanted Garden theme researched from the start. Flowers and scenery matter here: one bonus goal counts the pieces of scenery in the gardens.

Terrace Gardens is a 64 × 64 tile map of six stepped hillside terraces, played on the Standard setting, with the weather mild and sunny. You start with $16,000 in cash and a loan of $10,000 at 7% interest, and the bank lends up to $35,000. Research starts with a budget of $300. It comes with Park Baron Premium.
