Pirate Cove

Pirate Cove is one of the two free themes and the one most Barons try first: shipwrecks, treasure, swaying palms and sandy boardwalks that make any waterfront feel like a smugglers’ harbour.

In the game

Shipwrecks, treasure and swaying palms on sandy boardwalks. Yo ho!

Pirate Cove has 13 pieces, with Shipwreck and Skull Rock as showpieces. Paint paths and queues as sandy boardwalk and they get rope and post fences, ship’s lantern lamps, driftwood bench, barrel bin and rope rails; the building skin (plank shack with a jolly roger) costs $90 of park money per shop, toilet or ride entrance. Rides that belong to it: Pirate Ship, Splash Boats, Bumper Boats, Aquarium Walk-Through, Wave Swinger and Water Coaster. It is free for every account, showpieces included.

The themed-area rule

A themed area needs 6 pieces of one theme within 4 tiles of a spot, with at least 60% of the theming there in that theme; a showpiece counts as 3 pieces and a themed path tile as a quarter. Guests in the area get happier, any ride inside gains 0.1 excitement, and a ride that belongs to the theme or wears its skin gains 0.35.
