Scenery with a job: hedges, seasons, shade

Eyesores to hide, noisy queues to quiet, trees that change with the seasons, and apple trees that blossom.

Published 30 October 2026

  • Hide the eyesores
  • Quiet the queues by the coaster
  • Trees that change with the seasons
  • Orchards that blossom and bear fruit

In new parks, scenery does a job. Toilets, the staff room and coaster supports are eyesores: guests two tiles away like the view less, and a tall hedge or a cliff block in between hides them. A queue within three tiles of a running coaster wears patience faster, and a tall hedge beside the line quiets it. In winter a leafy tree counts half its beauty, so evergreens carry the park through the cold. Apple trees blossom in spring and bear fruit in autumn. Saved parks keep their old rules.

Everything in this update (8)
  • 🚻 Eyesores in new parks: toilets, the staff room and coaster supports spoil the view for guests two tiles away (right at the door they don’t mind). A tall hedge or a cliff block between them and the path hides it. The toilets’ build card says so
  • 🔊 Coaster noise in new parks: a queue within three tiles of a running coaster’s track wears patience faster. A tall hedge beside the line quiets it; a closed coaster is quiet. The queue tile’s window names the coaster and the way out
  • ❄️ Trees with the seasons in new parks: a leafy tree counts half its beauty in winter, while pines, spruces, firs, cypresses, olives, palms, bushes and flowers keep all of it. Each tree’s card in Scenery says which it is
  • 🍎 Orchards: cherry trees are at their prettiest in spring; apple trees blossom white and pink in April and May and bear fruit in September and October
  • 🌳 The Tree Planter shades the path beside it in a heat wave, like the plane and the chestnut
  • 💾 Saved parks keep the rules they were started with
  • 🗼 Fixed: a Drop Tower, Reverse Bungee or Launch Tower set to a longer ride drops or launches as many times as its Operate tab says; they used to go once and then wait or bob
  • ☁️ Fixed: a cloud save that hit a brief connection drop on the way to the server now tries again by itself, instead of failing at once
